Junk! What happened to Rubbermaid?!

I've been looking for a red dish drainer set and I thought this would be just the thing. I've been a Rubbermaid fan for decades, so I had high hopes. The item arrived very promptly, so I have high praise for the vendor, but the dish drainer set was really a piece of junk. The drain mat is hard plastic, not a flexible material like the former product. It slips and slides on the counter top and a hard, inflexible plastic like this wouldn't work in the sink either. The wire dish drainer is a very flimsy, thin grade wire that bears little resemblance to the Rubbermaid products I've bought before. The only good thing about it is the pretty red color. Don't waste your money. If it weren't so much trouble and expense, I'd send it all back. This certainly isn't a Rubbermaid product.
I went on line to find out what happened to Rubbermaid .... apparently Rubbermaid made the very bad decision to market almost exclusively through Wal-Mart and ended up being destroyed in the process. Today the company is owned by Newell, it's all made in China, and nothing remains of Rubbermaid but the name.

Gone Thinking

I bought this for my daughter inlaw,which her kitchen decor is mainly a deep red. This worked out perfect but it's a little shorter in length. Also the price was very fair!
